The research done by the State Regional Development Agency on behalf of Baltic Sea Region (BSR) program`s project "Science Link".

The main objective of this study is to investigate the business and applied science environment in BSR countries, identifying potential fields and possible new users, which would require a significant infrastructure of investigation in the region.

Public scientific research centres in each of the eight countries involved in the study and Science Link, are – Denmark, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Finland, Germany and Sweden - are examined.

The study is done by the State Regional Development Agency on behalf of Baltic Sea Region (BSR) program`s project "Science Link" and was presented within the framework of State Regional Development Agencies, project "Science Link" seminar "The Future opportunities for business and scientific co-operation", which took place this year on June 18, the restored Palace of Culture "Ziemeļblāzma".
