Scouting opportunities for greater and improved cooperation the Minister of Science and Research of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg accompanied by 14 representatives from Hamburg’s universities and scientific institutions, visited scientific institutions in the Malmö-Copenhagen region during the autumn.

The visit was hosted by Science Link and the lead partner DESY represented by the Director for Administration, Dr. Christian Scherf, and project manager Katariina Röbbelen-Voigt.

The delegation visited the European Spallation Source (ESS) now an associate partner in Science Link, and the three Science Link partners in the Malmö-Copenhagen region; the Technical University of Copenhagen, the University of Lund and Invest in Skåne, the official regional promotion agency.

Science Link plays an important complementary role to the current  Röntgen-Angström-Cluster cooperation, between Germany and Sweden, which also works for improved cooperation between scientific and industrial partners in the Baltic Sea Region.
